Nagaon Book Fair 2022 to Commence from December 15

After a two-year hiatus, Sangskritik Gosthi-Kollul, a prominent cultural group in Nagaon, will once again host the Nagaon Book Fair from December 15 to December 22 at Nagaon Nehrubali field. On October 22, the organization's general meeting presided over by its president Luhit Kalita, officially approved the decision to host the book fair.
The organization also established a special reception committee in this regard, led by the local MLA Rupak Sarma as president, the deputy commissioner of Nagaon Narendra Kr Shah and Kollul's president Luhit Kalita, respectively, as executive presidents, Noushad Akhter Hazarika, and renowned Assamese short-story writer Noushad.
In addition, the organizers chose to devote the main area of the book fair as well as its temporary tent in honor of prominent Assamese writers Homen Borgohain Khetra and Lakshminandan Bora Khetra, who were also journalists.
The previous receiving committee also presented its detailed financial report for the prior book fair during the meeting. At the gathering were local MLA Rupak Sarma, renowned author, and former Deputy Commissioner Chandra Mohan Kakoti, who is now retired.
